A Special Note on Normal Use: Most of the classes in dB Drag Racing require the vehicle to meet certain "Normal Use" requirements. (Please refer to the Class Matrix for the Normal Use requirements for each class.) Whenever a Normal Use restriction is specified, the sound system installation may not interfere with the normal operation of the vehicle as intended by the vehicle manufacturer.
Examples:
A subwoofer enclosure sitting on top of the rear seat in the Street Stock Division would prevent the seat from being used in the manner for which it was designed. Since the Street Stock Division requires Normal Use compliance "Everywhere", the installation would violate the Normal Use requirement.
The rear-view mirror in the vehicle is missing. Since the sound system installation has nothing to do with the rear-view mirror, the Normal Use restriction does not apply.
The air conditioner fan-blower motor was removed from the vehicle. If the removal of the motor was done to accommodate the sound system installation, then the Normal Use restriction is in violation. Otherwise, the removal is acceptable.
A subwoofer enclosure is mounted in the cargo area of a hatchback. This does not violate the Normal Use requirement because the cargo area is intended as a general purpose area that can be used for applications such as this.
The vehicle's seat belts are missing. If the removal of the seat belts was done to accommodate the installation of the sound system then the Normal Use requirement is in violation. Otherwise, the removal is ok.
